Why Searching for Deeper Understanding Often Prevents You from Getting Better Results
Searching for understanding mostly reinforces what you already believe. By focusing on how you want to feel instead, you give yourself a chance to choose completely different thoughts. Forget what you know and focus on feeling how you want to feel. You’ll soon start thinking better feeling thoughts that will actually teach you how to feel better and better, more and more of the time.

Everything that makes sense makes sense from your point of view. So if you go out there looking for clarity, or looking for things that make sense and are “logically” sound (from your point of view), then you’re going to find things that reinforce what you already believe. But by instead focusing on how you feel and looking for thoughts that feel much better than the thoughts you normally think, you start to follow a different scent. Rather than needing to linearly progress from where you are to where you want to be, you detach from where you are and allow yourself to float wherever it is you’re carried because you’re no longer tuned into the thoughts which reinforce themselves, you’re tuned into the feeling which, by focusing on the feeling, allows you to attract different thoughts because you’re no longer stuck thinking the same thoughts.
Finding Success: “Negotiate Always from a Position of Strength”
We often aim for success from a position incapable of reaching it. Winston Churchill had a saying that went “negotiate always from a position of strength.” Rather than struggling to succeed from where you are, focus solely on putting yourself in a position where success is more and more likely to occur. This forces you to focus on improving your conditions (growing your strengths) and frees you to find what will truly work for you, rather than asking you to follow advice that “works for everybody” and feeling like a failure when it doesn’t (that’s negotiating from a place of false strength that will always collapse when you actually try to collect on your dreams).

Winston Churchill had a saying that went “negotiate always from a position of strength.” This really resonates with me, but how does one do it?
Well, the key is to get yourself into a position of strength and THEN negotiate. I think we often put the cart ahead of the horse by trying to figure out a way to negotiate ourselves to success before we build ourselves into a position of strength. If we focus solely on building our position on growing who it is we are as a person, on doing different things that strengthen us (in terms of we just feel more solid in who we are and better about who we are) then from there look to negotiate, then doors will open where once there were only walls.
Become a Vibrational Match for What You Want and the Negotiation Will Take Care of Itself
You can’t get what you want if you’re not a vibrational match for it; and you will always get what you want when you take the time to become one.

What Churchill’s saying by “negotiate only from a position of strength,” is get yourself into a place where you’re a vibrational match for what you want and then look for a way to get it. It’s quite simple. You can’t get what you want when you’re not a vibrational match for it; and if you negotiate from a place of weakness you’re not going to walk away feeling like you got a good deal (unless something is gifted to you, but that’s not really a negotiation).
So, line your energy up and then negotiate with reality about how you want to change it. But first, get yourself into a vibrational match with the reality you want—then the negotiation takes care of itself.
We Want What We Want Because It’ll Make Us Feel Good, So Can Feeling Good Get Us What We Want?
We can’t get the things we want by focusing on not having them; but we can feel how we want to feel by focusing on things that make us feel that way. By feeling the way we would feel if we already had what we want, we think thoughts similar to someone who already has the results we’re looking for and become a match for creating those results for ourselves.

I think so often we don’t put enough value on feeling good (and focusing solely on concentrating on our emotions and putting ourselves in an emotional place that feels great and enlivens us) because we don’t equate to the things we want. And we want the things we want because of how they make us feel, but we don’t see how feeling the way we want to feel will get us what we want. There’s a gap there, a logic gap. But I think if you look at it from the perspective of get your vibration there and then negotiate with reality… I’m missing something here, I dropped off somewhere. I’m gonna find it.

Very connected to source today, eh?
Yeah, there was some flow going on. Still learning how to harness it all. I end up letting too much into my life and then feeling overwhelmed when I can’t find a fun way to share it all. I guess I have to give myself permission to let some things go by the way side as I focus on the things that really give me joy!
I agree. Your first clip here really hit me. Thanks for sharing that and bringing it more into perspective for me!
