Getting Clear on My Message
Risking Rejection: Starting ‘The Fearlessness Movement’
After a great talk that I had with a friend today, and an awesome response that I got in my Who’s Ready to Live Fearlessly? thread; I’ve decided to start a movement.
This is the kind of thing I’d normally be hesitant to start because I’d question my ability to lead, or what makes me so special to start a movement, or why would anyone want to follow me? (Though this movement has nothing to do with following me, it’s all about facing your own individual fears and creating your own totally unique life while having a blast in the process.) But all those excuses are BS. If you want to do something, just do it. If nobody joins you, who cares? (Obviously no one, otherwise someone would have joined you
)
The point is that nobody remember people for the things they started that failed, they remember them for their successes; but you can’t have success unless you’re willing to start something.
So I’m standing up and declaring to the world that I have something worth sharing. I have a vision worth creating, I have a voice worth listening to, I have a journey with going on—and YOU have these things in you as well.
So join me if you want to, or laugh at me if you don’t, or watch with curiosity if you’re somewhere in between; either way, I’m stepping up to the plate and putting myself out there; react as you will.

About this talk
With help from some surprising footage, Derek Sivers explains how movements really get started. (Hint: it takes two.)
