Moving Past Procrastination: Why Am I a Vibrational Match for Procrastination?
Something dawned on me today and I asked myself the question, “Why am I a vibrational match for procrastination?” I had never really put any direct thought into figuring this out, I just concluded that if I can force myself to overcome procrastination I’ll learn how. But I think this is really something worth exploring. What am I thinking that is causing procrastination to continue being a part of my experience?
I thought of that today after finding myself continuing to procrastinate on a number of small things. I ended up doing a couple of quick and simple tasks (getting a child support check ready to be mailed and sending some writing to a reader who’s offered to do some editing for me) which are definitely worthwhile, but I think I’m going to need to take a deeper, more introspective approach to this situation if I really want to make some headway.

Update on Down Moments
In the beginning I was sharing every moment I had where I was doubting myself or generally feeling bad. Later, after I’d taken some feedback into consideration, I evolved that into “Moments of Asking” where I’d share what I was asking for, not just what was bringing me down. But today I discovered that I really need to give myself permission to just share the down stuff. By not giving myself to share it I was able to hide for several hours the past few days and stay in a down mood with no sense of accountability for it.
I know first hand how much sharing those down moments and giving that part of me a voice can instantly change my outlook on things so I’m going to start doing that again and putting it at the bottom of my daily posts.

Just want to say, I loved Cathrine’s question about why you want to manifest money, and some of your answers were very fun and put a smile on my face.
I’m also intrigued how your attention has come to ‘why you are a vibrational match for procrastination’.
Yeah, answering those questions was a lot of fun!
And you helped inspire that vibrational match for procrastination intrigue, so: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! for that!
Questions for you to ponder:
1) Is procrastination a negative thing?
2) Could the “down-time” or “busy work”, that you call procrastinating, be something that you really need?
3) Are you expecting too much to be completed too quickly?
I believe procrastination has a purpose. It is a natural force that allows the necessary space needed to get ready for the task at hand. Newton’s Third Law of Motion comes to mind: “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”. I can find peace when I think of procrastination as a natural momentum to life rather than to think of it as a hindrance to all the things that need to get done.
Suggestion: You could show more appreciation for the things you DID get done (without judging their significance), rather than focusing on what you didn’t get done. By pulling more positive vibrations into the things you did get done, you should pull more of the “getting things done” into your life.
I share this with you because I have given myself the authority to do so….thanks Josh!
@Susanne: Perhaps in the truest testament to how much I DO actually get done, I feel like I can’t even answer your questions because I’m in such a different place than I was less than a week ago when I wrote that stuff.
Wow! I knew I was changing fast, but I haven’t really taken the time to look back at where I was and realize just how mind-blowingly quick and moving through things! Jeepers creepers!
Thanks for bringing this to my attention Susanne! It was truly a gift that you helped author into my life.
